Description
Hoffmann’s two-toed sloth is a medium-sized mammal known for its slow movements and arboreal lifestyle. Their most distinctive feature is their two long, curved claws on each forelimb, which they use for gripping branches. They also have a short snout, a flat face, and small eyes. Habitat
Hoffmann’s two-toed sloths are found in the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, from Honduras to Bolivia and Brazil. They prefer lowland and montane forests but can also be found in secondary forests and plantations. These sloths are strictly arboreal, spending most of their lives in the canopy of trees.
Behavior
